TOP STORY: Dirk Keaton Builds Better Citizens, Stress Level Mounts

I'm trying to avoid turning this into issue 4 where I rambled incoherently. Unfortunately, I have had little sleep this entire month, and I did absolutely nothing this weekend except homework. It's more or less a good day to die (No, not really). Whatever the case, part of my HW this weekend was working on Clements' Character Education page. Yeah. Character education (I didn't pick it folks). It's a disappointing assignment in many respects, but hey, it looks pretty. I'm thinking of adapting the Theatre page to similar graphical elements. Also, I'm planing an update of the official page and THUG sometime this week (If I ever get over my homework). Say a little prayer for my sanity, then read on.

Album Review: "Buddy Holly Lives" 20 Golden Greats by Buddy Holly and The Crickets

Probably the longest title for an album I've ever reviewed. What can I say, it's Buddy Holly, nothin' wrong about that. It looks fairly new (Newer than most of the tapes I own), but I bought it secondhand, so your guess is as good as mine. The most complete Buddy Holly collection I've seen yet. Buddy Holly is the man, continually laying down tight rhythms like Tyson on one of those scrawny Europeans he tends to fight (No hate for Europe Implied). Lyrics are better than standard Rockabilly fare, and the band rocks as well (Paul, I know you are reading this, check out some of the funky grooves from pre-Jaco bass god Waylon Jennings). His later songs incorporate a lot of great solos. It's clear that Holly was head-and-shoulders above the rest of the early rock community (Surpassed only by my homeboy Link Wray). The standout track is obviously Peggy Sue (With history's single most addictive melody), tho Goynor's favorite That'll Be The Day is quite nice. No bad tracks, fun as hell, I'm proud to give it the maximum score of: SCORE: of 5 penguins.

Surf Ninjas Front

Movie night was last weekend. I had fun. I dressed up as Bob Dylan. Until the next movie night, surf on, brothers.
