WHO (OR WHAT) ARE WE
We are Clements International Thespian Society Troupe 3689. First off, a thespian is not what it sounds like. You see, in the begining, plays were a single chorus that danced and sung lines together. Thespis (A playwright) was the first person to step out of the chorus and say lines by himself. Thus, we are all followers of thespis, or thespians. We are a group of actors and techies (The people who build the set, arrange the lights and sounds, and make the show work). We are also an honor society, just like NHS. After 10 points (approximately 100 hours of work), we become inducted members of the inter -national thespain society. How do we earn these points? we participate in workdays and put on plays and other events. These include two main -stage play, a Student -Directed One Act Play Festival, The Society (An improv show), a UIL play, and two to four other smaller plays. We're one of the bussiest, most involved groups at Clements. So, check us out, you might just like it.
