The Story, So Far...

Lend me a Tennor, Tito Morelli, a famous Italian tennor, is making his American debut from at the Ceveland Grand Opera. Max, a less-than aspiring singer (Who is somewhat engaged to the daughter of the head of the opera, Maggie Saunders) is assigned to make sure every -thing goes off smoothly, unfortunately, absolutely everything has gone wrong. Tito has gotten in a fight with his wife, who leaves him after he finds Maggie (A groupie of Tito and Max's girlfriend) in the closet. Meanwhile, Max counsuls Tito, who then teaches him how to sing better. After which, Tito finds a note from his wife that says she's leaving. Tito goes insane and wants to kill himself with a fork, however, Max is able to subdue him. Unfortunately, Tito has already taken several sleeping pills and has been slipped more by Max. He goes to sleep, and Max discovers the note, believing it's a suicide note, he thinks Max is dead. Mr. Saunders comes in, freaks out, also assumes the same fate. They then get the idea to dress Max up as Tito. Max doesn't want to do it, but acci -dentally is forced to when Maggie opens the door. He leaves, comes back, triumphant. Meanwhile, the real Tito has woken up and tries to sneak into the play. He is caught and barely evades capture. Maggie throws herself at Max, while Diana, a singer who Tito confuses for a woman of easy virtue, does the same. After the lights go down, both Maggie and Diana find Max and assume he has performed with them both. Max, dressed as Tito, runs into the bathroom to evade his pursuers. He steps out in the suit he put in there to change into. Most are confused, and in the end, he reveals to Maggie that he was the one who sang that night.
